Bechtel HQ

Emerald Ironworks was awarded this feature stair and misc. metals package for Bechtel's HQ improvements in Reston.  The design included a 24' tall 'space truss' made from large structural steel that enveloped the feature stair connecting floors 10 and 11.  The stair itself was blackened steel with glass treads/landings.  The 11th floor slab opening featured floor to ceiling glass.  All work had to be craned in the 11th floor window and assembled together seamlessly in-place.
